A band named Paramore has recently scored a spot on the new motion picture album, Twilight with their song, Decode. I never really knew the band, only heard of them until now!
I was doing some research on their latest album, Riot!. I checked out a few of their songs, 'Misery Business' She is singing about wanting a boy but some other girl takes him away and eight months later gives him up and she starts singing:
Whoa, I never meant to brag
But, I got him where I want him now.
Whoa, it was never my intention to brag
To steal it all away from you now.
But god does it feel so good,
Cause I got him where I want him now.
And if you could then you know you would.
Eh? The band members are professing Christians and I don't see it. Blaspheming the Lords name. The worst thing is, she knows she did this, this is what she had to say,
I'm ashamed to say that, although I'm a believer in Jesus Christ and i claim him as my God, when i wrote those lyrics i wasn't addressing him. i was using his name casually. in vain, to be blunt. if you know much about the Christian religion (which I'm not too fond of addressing my faith as), you'll probably know that one of the ten commandments is "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord your God in vain"... it goes on to say, "...for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain." As a believer in Christ, that last part scares the hell out of me. i don't want to be held accountable for being the cause of so many people using his name in vain. you don't have to believe in what i believe and no one in Paramore is ever going to go around forcing our faith into people's lives...
but believer or not, i might have led some of ya'll to believe that i take my Saviour lightly. and i don't.
Why is it hard to say you're a Christian? This statement alone says a lot about Hayley Willaim's faith. She's cussing on the livejournal, reading all the Twilight books, telling people to buy The Shack and watching the Harry Potter movies, what 'Christian' signal does that send?
Another thing, in Charlie Daniels 'The Devil went down to Georgia' he said Son of a *****. When he became a Christian he changed the lyrics to, Son of a gun.
If Paramore knows about the song, why don't they cut the song.
About forcing faith, Matt 28:19 says to spread the Gospel not keep it to our selfs.
No Christian should be saying they don't forgive someone from the past and call them a whore in the song that blasphemes the Almighty God. God calls us to forgive and vengeance be his.
The music video is just as horrible as the song. She doesn't seem to be so sad when saying, But god does it feel so good,! It shows a girl going around acting top dog doing what she wants; for instance, cutting a girls long braid off, throwing an injured boy into the wall and nastily making out with a boy because he was flirting with his girlfriend. In the end the Paramore group comes out of a room and confronts her. The lead singer (Hayley) smirks before reaching in the girl's low cut dress pulling out some bra cups and wiping away her make-up. They walk away acting so proud that they 'taught her a lesson'.
Bottom line, Christians should not listen to bands such as these. They, I believe, are more of a danger. You would be better off listening to secular artists than Mute math, Paramore, 12 Stones and many other professing Christians who are in bands. I can't stress enough how we need discernment when looking for things in this world.

Joel Osteen
I'm sure just about everyone has heard of Joel Osteen; however, do people really know what he believes or preaches? In an interview with 60 minutes, it begin with the host talking about Mr. Osteen's beliefs, he said, 'He believes God is loving, forgiving and rewards believers with health, wealth and happiness.'
What!? Yes God is loving and forgiving, but everyone tends to leave out that he is also sovereign, righteous and just; that would mean God punishes the wicked and detests things.
If you believe God is so loving, most people will ask, 'How can a loving God send people to Hell?'
There are a few things wrong with this statement. God does not send people to Hell, they send them selfs. Think of it, would God be loving if he forced people to be where he is?
You can't sit there and say, God will reward believers with health, wealth and happiness.
What of the Christians who have chronicle illness' that have a relationship with Christ? Just because they don't have health, does that mean they are any less deserving?
Or what of the Christians that live in other country's who have nothing more that half a house, little clothes and maybe if they're lucky an animal and love the Lord. Do they not deserve an reward just as much as others that are not struggling in financial issues.
What of the Christians that go through persecution, do you think they are filled with worldly happiness?
The Lord never promised rewards on earth, rather, he spoke of rewards in heaven.
A quote from Joel Osteen:
“I want to help you learn to forgive today, I want to help you have the right thoughts today.”
No man can help us forgive; it's by Christ we learn to forgive. How can any man help us with out our thoughts if he doesn't know our thought life?
It is a problem when some high-up preachers think they have the answers to all the problems or that they have some new way of preaching the gospel. It is preachers like Joel Osteen that lead people astray, giving them false hope, half the message, distorting the Word of God. He's trying to make it a new improved way of living. He never prepares you for the persecution that comes, wave after wave, getting stronger to the point all you have to lean on is God.
Unless you face persecution and begin to resent God, hating Christians feeling like they meant to humiliate you. When in truth, it was really that half message you received that didn't prepare you for the persecution as God promised.
On an interview with Larry King, Joel Osteen is asked about republican Mitt Romney's Mormonism, if he will go to heaven. Mr. Osteen states, he hasn't studied the bible enough to know little facts as that, but he believes in his heart that because Romney says he believes in Jesus Christ he will go to heaven. If Osteen took time to study his bible and not try to make up story's on how 'to be a better you' he would see that Mormon will not enter the Kingdom of God, for they have not repented of their sins and put their trust in Jesus Christ.
1 John 4:1 reads, “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

New Movie out today, Twilight.
A new movie is coming out today, Twilight. I am making this quick post to strongly advice people not to go and see it.
It is about vampires, immortal souls and it all is against God.
Too many people get sucked in to this stuff way to easy, I know.
Like I said it's just a quick note, DO NOT SEE IT!

'Christian' Books
Have you ever had to use discernment when reading a Christian book? I know I have! There is one thing I believe is a problem we have that even I admit to falling in. We are to quick to assume a lot of things are “Christian”. I believe there is no such a thing as “Christian books”.
Let me explain, think of what people do with 'Christian' stuff, they sell it! Who buys it, Christians! It's just another market, what would people say makes a Christian book Christian?
People might say, 'It talks about God or it talks about or mentions Jesus or salvation.' However, that does not make it Christian, it just means it talks about God, Jesus and salvation. Now take a look at the word, 'Christian'.
Last I recall Christian was a title for those whom believe Jesus is the Christ and follows what he taught. You can sit there and play football with your friend and still worship the Lord, does that make it 'Christian football' No, that's silly. Then why do we call books, music, even so much as food Christian.
That is why there are so much stuff labeled Christian that really have no means of Christ in them. Such as this book called, Havah,The story of Eve. It's by an author named Tosca Lee. Here is the description for this book:
What was it like to be the first woman on earth,
to wake to a brand-new creation-and Adam?
Why did she become so beguiled by the serpent?
In this lyrical retelling of the biblical narrative,
Lee brings Eden to life, revealing the dawn of
mankind from Eve's viewpoint! (Contains some mature imagery)
First, God tells us what we need to know about Eve in the Bible! Second, WHAT!!! (Contains some mature imagery) Do we really need that in a book, I mean come on. Third, If you go to Tosca Lee's site, you can read the first chapter, I read it. It depicted Adam to be such a child gooing (if that's a word) over Eve, kissing her, smelling, touching, tasting?
Lee wrote another book called Demon: A memoir. We NEED discernment when looking for books.
Another book series is the Dragons in our Midst series along with Oracles of Fire. By Bryan Davis. The whole series is about dragons. In the Bible it reads,
Revelation 13:2 The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.
The Lord calls Satan a 'dragon', that is the first problem.
Next, the first book is introducing Billy and Bonnie. Two kids who are half dragons, Bonnie knows because of her dragon wings she keeps hidden under a large backpack, Billy, who doesn't know, yet, he has fire breath.
Billy's father and Bonnie's mother were both dragons but some how transformed in to humans and married humans.
The 'Dragons in our Midst' is about Billy fulfilling a prophecy written all the way back in King Arthur's time. He is to be the dragons Christ. Yeah, Jesus came for the humans, but not dragons, so God has ANOTHER Christ to come. It's also very seeker-sensitive, God loves everyone, you need to know Gods love. Need I say more.
Oracles of Fire is where it gets worse. The first book is the prequel to DIOM. It talks about how dragons were just like humans and interacted with Noah. Not to mention the two sisters, Lilith, and Namaah. Namaah slept around and even with one of Noah's sons, pretending to be his wife. Lilith grows these things like plants that grow to be human like things. One God favors and gives her an 'oracle' orb where she can talk to Enoch (of the Bible). It just keeps getting worse. It focuses to much on Hell more than it talks about Christ. The next three books finish up this whole series. Again, use discernment when reading books just as much as you do with music and television.
I don't mean to say every book is bad. There are some good books out there, none of which should be named Christian. I'm just naming these two that I know are not good books for anyone and perhaps stumbling blocks. I will most likely later give some book ideas that are not so, seeker-sensitive or someones idea of what happened.

A Theory goes Religion.
“
One thing I've come to notice is, Darwin's theory.
Theory means, a PROPOSED explanation whose status is still conjectural, in contrast to well-established propositions that are regarded as reporting matters of actual fact.
Proposed means, to offer or suggest (a matter, subject, case, etc.) for consideration, acceptance, or action: to propose a new method.
I can go on and on but all this basically means to guess or conjecture. Have we become so ignorant that we take a mans guess to be belief or a religion?
Evolution if you really think about it really doesn’t make any sense and there is no proof. Think about it, all they claim to have are fossils that have been proven to be false. They also claim to look at the bone of a bats wing and the wing of a bird and say it proves evolution, just because they have the same bones. Will they say that cars evolved? They have all have batteries, engines, car seats, and so on. They look similar only because they have the same creator.
Colossians
If you were to walk in an art gallery and see a Thomas Kinkade you haven’t seen most likely if you know his work you would be, “Hey, a Thomas Kinkade!” Because you know his style of painting. Same with God, you can see his work and know it was him who created it not only because of the way it is, but also by his Word.
Genesis
It makes logical sense to say, ‘If over there is a building, there must be a builder. If I am here I must have a maker!’
Think of this, why are there only two genders? Male and Female. If evolution was true, with the way the world is dissatisfied with only having two ‘options’ so to speak. Why can’t nature spawn a new gender like keman or reman? It can’t. Again, if evolution be true, why do we need reproduction organs? When we want to have a child why can’t we go fishing for children and when we find one put it in a jar, then raise it.
God made us perfect in our design and he explained why there are men and women, it makes sense! He gave us certain organs to ‘be fruitful’. I like how Ken ham says in his book, The New Answers Book:
“If we accept God’s Word, beginning with Genesis, as being true and authoritative, then we can explain dinosaurs and make sense of the evidence we observe in the world around us. In doing this, we are helping people see that Genesis is absolutely trustworthy and logically defensible, and is what it claims to be-the true account of the history of the universe and mankind. And what one believes concerning the book of Genesis will ultimately determine what one believes about the rest of the Bible. This, in turn, will affect how a person views himself or herself, fellow human beings, and what life is all about, including their need for salvation.”
People keep searching for answers, ones they cannot find, because they do not search in the Word of God. I can’t begin to name how many things I myself have looked for but could not find until I searched the Word of God. Even ‘Christians’ are falling in to this ‘God made evolution’ stuff.
Bottom line, God created the world and all that inhabit it. You can see it in not only in Genesis, but in many other scriptures. Also, there are past scientists that HAVE searched the Word and found out, the world is round for one and many other discoveries.
Science is not science anymore, it has become a religion. They are trying to do what is against God by playing God, cloning, making hybrid animals and humans, and that is just a few examples.
We need to go back to the Word of God and not look to man for answers.

Ray Boltz.....a homosexual?
I just heard some recent news about Ray Boltz coming 'out of the closet' so to speak with his homosexuality. I went on the blogger thing they have up (blog.christianitytoday.com) and I was reading some comments. I was so surprised to see that a majority of people had said 'that's good for him' WHAT!! And then came a lot of debating.
I can't begin to count how many people kept saying, 'Oh God is a loving God and he would never hurt anyone' HELLO do you forget that he is a righteous and sovereign God; not to mention wrathful. He is also merciful to those who repent of their sins and putting their trust in him. He's not a little pink bunny that if you press his thumb he'll sing 'I love you'. He's our God and he's the creator of all things.
This person has some very twisted views on a lot of things this is what she wrote,
Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves. There but for the grace of God go YOU.
1) Bestiality and pedophilia are psychological illnesses that have NOTHING to do with homosexuality. They are by and large the result of extremely abusive or dysfunctional childhood environments and people who suffer from these diseases are CREATED, not born as such. I suggest cracking open a copy of "Psychology For Dummies" for clarity. Actually, watch any show on TruTV and you'll get the gist. Also note that homosexuality has not been listed as a deviant psychological behavior for nearly thirty years now.
First thing, Bestiality and pedophilia are not some psychological illnesses, they are sexual sins and choices just like homosexuality. These are not a result of anything but sin and you are not born as a homosexual. Really any book out there about psychology is more than likely wrong or throwing in their own theories, and this same company made 'Tarot For Dummies'.
2) Adultery and polygamy are indeed choices. Duh. But neither have anything to do with homosexuality. To imply so is nothing but sheer ignorance. Again...crack a book other than your Bible and broaden your horizons a little.
They both ARE the same as homosexuality, Jesus says (Matthew 5:28) if you look with lust you have committed adultery. Polygamy is also no different because it still is SIN. You should never try to hold make anything as equal as the Word of God and no Mame I would rather stay narrow minded.
3) Scientific studies are proving more and more every day that there are genes in our DNA that may predispose certain individuals to a homosexual life. But silly me...you people don't accept that evolution could even be a part of the creation process, even though it's SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN to be...so why would I think you would believe science when they are trying to tell you that homosexuals can indeed be born this way? Sorry. I spoke out of turn, there. Guess we have to erect a few hundred more dinosaur skeletons first. *slapping forehead*
Science has not proven evolution (that's for another time) Again no one is born a homosexual, and I really don't buy the, 'I've known at a young age' 2 and 3 year olds don't know what sex is, how are they to know what anything sexual is. Maybe they have certain problems at a young age and as they begin to mature sexual desires are brought into it.
4) Ray Boltz can no more CHOOSE to be gay than heterosexuals can CHOOSE to be straight. It just is. People...IT. JUST. IS. The only CHOICE he is making is to stop lying about it, stop making himself feel like he is a worthless piece of crap for having these feelings and reconciling himself to the FACT that God loves him STILL and REGARDLESS and JUST THE WAY HE WAS MADE.
He chose to follow his flesh, and again it's about repenting of your sins. Yes it is a good thing he stopped lying about it. It was by his choice to dwell on the thoughts that he made this decision and that's not giving it to the Lord. Yes God loves his children and that is why he sent his only son to die for us but if we don't turn from our ways how can we be with him for all eternity in his presence being a wretched sinner like we are. We need Jesus.
5) I'm not even going to go into the whole Sodom thing. If you people would try and research the history of that time period along with your scriptures, I'm pretty sure you'd have one of Oprah's "Aha!" moments. I'm so sick of that story in the Bible being misused and abused to promote hate that I want to vomit.
I'm sorry you feel that way but that is why God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. It was so bad there other men wanted to sleep with the two angels.
6) The Bible commands a woman be stoned to death for commiting adultery. We don't do that anymore because we realize that it's inhumane and just plain wrong. When is the church going to realize that its treatment of homosexuals is also inhumane and wrong and start embracing with love, as Jesus commanded us to and did Himself? And don't tell me for one second that you can "love" someone and yet shun them from society. Wrong answer.
No, we don't because Jesus died for all sin, if you read that was commanded back in the old testament there are certain things we no longer need to do such as sacrificing birds or lamb because Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice for such great of sins. If you read Jesus said in John 8:7 “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” Then it goes on to say in verse 11 he says to the woman they tried to stone “Go now and leave your life of sin.”
I was always raised to never be ashamed to say I'm a Christian. These days I am not ashamed to say I love Jesus...but I am most DEFINITELY ashamed to call myself a Christian, when today's Christians stand for nothing but judgement, hatred and intolerance. I'll proudly label myself a FAITHFUL HERETIC, thank you very much. I'm pretty sure Jesus is cool with it. I mean...the dude was quite the radical hippy, after all.
I'm not ashamed to say I'm a Christian either, but judging people is not a bad thing as long as we judge according to the Bible and not us. And I really think he's not 'cool' or a dude for that matter, and no he wasn't a radical 'hippy' he is the Son of God. Calling him 'dude' or 'G-man' is lowering him down to our level and he's not our level he's far beyond that. How can you call the Son of God, dude?
To Mr. Boltz (because I am QUITE sure he is reading this): Be strong and courageous. Know that you are loved, know that you are a divine creation in the eyes of God and that your legacy on this earth is one of beauty and honor. Know that there are plenty of other GAY CHRISTIANS in this world and that it's no one's decision as to whether or not you are a child of God but HIS and YOURS. May you be blessed and enjoy contentment of heart for the rest of your days, living in your truth.
MAY WE ALL.
Sincerely,
Darci Monet
Professional Vocalist, Songwriter, Vocal Coach, Faithful Heretic and Recovered (and Repentent) Gay-Hater
You can not be a homosexual and be a Christian the Lord said Leviticus 18:22 “Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable” Right after that it goes on to say, (Lev 18:23) “Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion.” Bestiality right after homosexuality, they both are against God and he forbids them both. Living in YOUR truth, so now he decides what's true, and contentment of heart, come on you really condone his sin as nothing.
Here's what Mr. Boltz said about this whole thing:“I’d denied it ever since I was a kid," Boltz, 55, told the magazine(interview with the gay magazine The Washington Blade). "I became a Christian, I thought that was the way to deal with this and I prayed hard and tried for 30-some years and then at the end, I was just going, ‘I’m still gay. I know I am.’ And I just got to the place where I couldn’t take it anymore … when I was going through all this darkness, I thought, ‘Just end this.’”
Mr. Boltz, I hate to say, you probably weren't saved. You can't sit there and keep saying to yourself, 'I'm still gay' that's not putting your trust in God and denying your sins. When you say ' I thought that was the way to deal with this' You mean to say it was a bad idea you 'becoming' a Christian. Where in the Bible does it say to 'try'? Repent of your sins and put it in Gods hands.

Showbread...christian band?

All right, how to start this.......I know! I just saw this new music video of Showbread's, The Pig, as it is called and when I watched it, it gave me a very awkward feeling. That song and many more weird songs came of their newest album Nervosa. It gets really creepy when you hear “my soul is cheap, lay on top of me” twice after the course said in what sounds like a demonic voice.
The video shows women in pig masks while holding knives over a kitchen island and it flashes between their actual phantom like faces and the mask of a pig. There also is where another woman with a pig mask is doing a weird dance behind what looks like a shower curtain. The sense around the video would give really anyone a weird feeling.
With another song in the album, The Journey, In the beginning they scream, “Open me up just like a vacuum sucking in the dirt, Put it all inside me baby, Hear, speak, see and rise like Leviathan, Armor plated, fire breathing” Rise like Leviathan? In Isaiah 27:1 it speaks about Leviathan being a monster the Lord will slay. In this song the lead vocalist of Family Force 5 makes a guest appearance during the course.
It not only is their scremo sound but their image. With the lead singer wearing eye liner and eye shadow with his long hair, he tends to look some what like a girl. In Deuteronomy 22:5 it says for men to not dress as women. I don't know but the net stalkings I really don't think men should be wearing.
When asked a question by jesusfreakhideout.com they gave a very interesting answer,
JFH (Scott): Now you guys always do things in your own way. You're gonna do things how you want, if it means you're gonna be strange or outcasts, you're gonna do it anyways. And you've gotten a lot of scrutiny because of it. How do you guys deal with that?
Josh: Um... that's a good question actually.
JFH (Scott): See? I knew it.
Josh: Good job. Well, we deal with it in one of two ways, Scott. On one hand, to a certain degree, I really like our band, musically. I mean, I know it's nothing we're doing, it's just that God lets us write the music we wanna write, and I really enjoy it. You know, we get to play whatever we wanna play. So, criticism comes in these weird ways. Some kids are like "I just don't like it," and that's fine, you know? Then there are other kids who say "This is how you did it wrong." Like "You should've done this, you should've done that." It's sometimes frustrating, cause you wanna just say, "Then go make your own record! Then you can do whatever you want. We did exactly what we wanted to do, and we did it exactly the way it was supposed to be. You had nothing to do with it, so you can't tell us whether or not it was correct or incorrect. You can tell us you don't like it, and that's fine, I don't care about that." But, I mean that's just how it is with music. People are really into being able to say whether or not they approve of something. So you just kinda have to believe that in the end, we did what we were supposed to do, and I am 100% satisfied with it, and we did what God wanted us to do. And He's gonna do with it what He wants to do regardless. And people say it doesn't sound like whatever hardcore band, and whatever.
What WE wanted, isn't our music to glorify the Lord. In Psalms 33:1-3 it reads, “Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him. Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.” It says to 'Sing' praise not scream.
Another problem I have is, yes I understand when people come to Jesus and they have tattoos, but I think it's another thing to be a Christian and GET a tattoo. In Leviticus 19:28, “Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the Lord!” Their image is very questionable.
That's why I'm always told to use discernment even with 'Christian' music. These Christian record company's need to check their bands and see who bears the fruit, “Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.” Matthew 7:20.
It's really sad when bands like these and Devil Wears Prada, Inhale Exhale and so on; become more of what the christian youth listen to. Be discerning and keep your eyes peeled and in the words of Josh mcdowell, Don't check your brains at the door.
