I'm back.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. But now, here...

I went to one of my Mothers diabetic classes the other day and for quite a while I was zoned out trying to think of some stories write, up until the doctor said, 'a normal healthy person can live up to forty days with out food or water and be alright.' Almost instantly I thought of Jesus temptation.

In Matthew 4:2 it says Jesus fasted forty days and forty nights, Moses and Elijah also fasted forty days and forty nights. However, Jesus was tempted.

I can't even go a whole day without food let alone forty days. If you think about it, he was probably a few days away from some organ shutting down, in other words he was near death. Knowing us being sinful men and women we would have sinned so quickly we wouldn't have even contemplated whether or not we were sinning. It was just interesting to think about and it shows the awesomeness of what Christ did and it shows his strength. Not to mention how big of a temptation it was!

On another note, I really get annoyed when I hear people say 'we are all Gods children and he loves us' like he is some cosmic Barney. We all ARE NOT his children, I know it might seem harsh but he calls some people children of the DEVIL. In John 8:41-44, some people were saying they were children of God, however, Jesus said their father was Satin.

John 8:42 “Jesus said to them, “If God were your father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and have come from God, for I have not even come on My own initiative, but He sent Me.”

So people need to not call EVERYONE children of God, some of them are children of the devil.

And another thing I thought about recently, why do people ALWAYS see Jesus on that bark of tree or on a Cheeto? You even type in the internet search and the third thing up is the 'Jesus Cheeto'. Why doesn't anyone find Satin? Not that you would want to but apparently no body was looking for Jesus either...right?

Oh boy!

Good Ol’ voice of 'Change' is at it again, he is trying to pass a bill where, if kids want to go to college, they have serve for their community (aka the government) now boys and girls can we say "Socialism". These are not like summer camps, more like those Nazi re-education centers like in that one movie, Swing Kids. It’s bad enough that kids get indoctrinated in public schools , now they have to join these centers if they want to get a college education, so much for freedom of choice. I guess that only applies when you want to kill a unborn baby.

It’s called Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act (Give act)

From the Misc. section, #6104: (6) Whether a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people could be developed, and how such a requirement could be implemented in a manner that would strengthen the social fabric of the Nation and overcome civic challenges by bringing together people from diverse economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds.

Can some one say ‘Black mail’, so much for ‘Volunteerism’.

In SEC. 1201. School-Based Allotments. `(A) ensure that students of different ages, races, sexes, ethnic groups, disabilities, and economic backgrounds have opportunities to serve together;

Note; it does not say religion. This is a chance for them to take kids and young adults and bring them to these centers to indoctrinate them with their views. We need to learn and study the Word of God as much as we can; we might not have our bibles much longer.

It would also appear that the new government is trying to make it illegal to grow your own food, trying to control what we eat.

http://fdralloveragain.blogspot.com/2009/03/soon-illegal-to-grow-your-own-food.html

And of course the gun law, it is NONSENSE! We have a RIGHT to bare arms; as said in the second amendment.

I strongly believe there is a hidden agenda.

And isn’t it funny how when the voice of 'change' passes the bill about embryonic stem cell research and then two days after, HE PUTS A BAN ON THE EMBRYONIC STEM CELL RESEARCH!
I mean, is he really that power hungry that he’s saying all this about Bush and how he vetoed that bill, then HE passes it and then BANS HIS BILL HE JUST PASSED TWO DAYS AGO!!
Come on, my head hurts already!

Forgiveness

Matthew 18:21-35

Then Peter came and said to Him, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?"
Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.
For this reason the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his slaves.
When he had begun to settle them, one who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him.
But since he did not have the means to repay, his lord commanded him to be sold, along with his wife and children and all that he had, and repayment to be made.
So the slave fell to the ground and prostrated himself before him, saying, 'Have patience with me and I will repay you everything.'
And the lord of that slave felt compassion and released him and forgave him the debt.
But that slave went out and found one of his fellow slaves who owed him a hundred denarii; and he seized him and began to choke him, saying, 'Pay back what you owe.'
So his fellow slave fell to the ground and began to plead with him, saying, 'Have patience with me and I will repay you.'
But he was unwilling and went and threw him in prison until he should pay back what was owed.
So when his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were deeply grieved and came and reported to their lord all that had happened.
Then summoning him, his lord said to him, 'You wicked slave, I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me.
'Should you not also have had mercy on your fellow slave, in the same way that I had mercy on you?'
And his lord, moved with anger, handed him over to the torturers until he should repay all that was owed him.
My heavenly Father will also do the same to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart."

This parable of Jesus is a great example on how just God is. This is what God means when he says to forgive. As you can see, the king forgave (pardon) and had mercy on the slave when he was in deep debt. Then the slave turned around and did not have mercy on the other slave that owed him. This shows you why we should forgive, for God spared us from the great debt in our lives that WE owe. How can we expect God to forgive us when we don’t forgive our neighbor?
Another demonstration of God’s mercy and forgiveness was the sacrifice of his son. Back then we had to stone adulterers and now we don’t, because they had no sacrifice to cover their sins. We are now under a new covenant because of Christ’s blood; our sins no longer need any other sacrifice. The Old Testament (covenant) laws were for back then; the ones we need to follow are in the New Testament (covenant).

We no longer need to stone anyone anymore.

1Corinthians 6:11 such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

There are some people that God just gives them over to their sins.

Romans 1:24 Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them.

It makes me sad to know there are some people that might not ever be saved. The ONLY way you can have forgiveness is to repent of your sins and put your trust in Christ, and then your sins will be pardoned.

If you have sinned and still feel wretched after repenting of those sins, know that God has forgiven those sins. Pray that you will not fall back into those sins.

Paramore

A band named Paramore has recently scored a spot on the new motion picture album, Twilight with their song, Decode. I never really knew the band, only heard of them until now!
I was doing some research on their latest album, Riot!. I checked out a few of their songs, 'Misery Business' She is singing about wanting a boy but some other girl takes him away and eight months later gives him up and she starts singing:

Whoa, I never meant to brag
But, I got him where I want him now.
Whoa, it was never my intention to brag
To steal it all away from you now.
But god does it feel so good,
Cause I got him where I want him now.
And if you could then you know you would.

Eh? The band members are professing Christians and I don't see it. Blaspheming the Lords name. The worst thing is, she knows she did this, this is what she had to say,

I'm ashamed to say that, although I'm a believer in Jesus Christ and i claim him as my God, when i wrote those lyrics i wasn't addressing him. i was using his name casually. in vain, to be blunt. if you know much about the Christian religion (which I'm not too fond of addressing my faith as), you'll probably know that one of the ten commandments is "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord your God in vain"... it goes on to say, "...for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain." As a believer in Christ, that last part scares the hell out of me. i don't want to be held accountable for being the cause of so many people using his name in vain. you don't have to believe in what i believe and no one in Paramore is ever going to go around forcing our faith into people's lives...
but believer or not, i might have led some of ya'll to believe that i take my Saviour lightly. and i don't.

Why is it hard to say you're a Christian? This statement alone says a lot about Hayley Willaim's faith. She's cussing on the livejournal, reading all the Twilight books, telling people to buy The Shack and watching the Harry Potter movies, what 'Christian' signal does that send?
Another thing, in Charlie Daniels 'The Devil went down to Georgia' he said Son of a *****. When he became a Christian he changed the lyrics to, Son of a gun.
If Paramore knows about the song, why don't they cut the song.

About forcing faith, Matt 28:19 says to spread the Gospel not keep it to our selfs.

No Christian should be saying they don't forgive someone from the past and call them a whore in the song that blasphemes the Almighty God. God calls us to forgive and vengeance be his.

The music video is just as horrible as the song. She doesn't seem to be so sad when saying, But god does it feel so good,! It shows a girl going around acting top dog doing what she wants; for instance, cutting a girls long braid off, throwing an injured boy into the wall and nastily making out with a boy because he was flirting with his girlfriend. In the end the Paramore group comes out of a room and confronts her. The lead singer (Hayley) smirks before reaching in the girl's low cut dress pulling out some bra cups and wiping away her make-up. They walk away acting so proud that they 'taught her a lesson'.

Bottom line, Christians should not listen to bands such as these. They, I believe, are more of a danger. You would be better off listening to secular artists than Mute math, Paramore, 12 Stones and many other professing Christians who are in bands. I can't stress enough how we need discernment when looking for things in this world.

Joel Osteen

I'm sure just about everyone has heard of Joel Osteen; however, do people really know what he believes or preaches? In an interview with 60 minutes, it begin with the host talking about Mr. Osteen's beliefs, he said, 'He believes God is loving, forgiving and rewards believers with health, wealth and happiness.'

What!? Yes God is loving and forgiving, but everyone tends to leave out that he is also sovereign, righteous and just; that would mean God punishes the wicked and detests things.
If you believe God is so loving, most people will ask, 'How can a loving God send people to Hell?'

There are a few things wrong with this statement. God does not send people to Hell, they send them selfs. Think of it, would God be loving if he forced people to be where he is?

You can't sit there and say, God will reward believers with health, wealth and happiness.

What of the Christians who have chronicle illness' that have a relationship with Christ? Just because they don't have health, does that mean they are any less deserving?
Or what of the Christians that live in other country's who have nothing more that half a house, little clothes and maybe if they're lucky an animal and love the Lord. Do they not deserve an reward just as much as others that are not struggling in financial issues.
What of the Christians that go through persecution, do you think they are filled with worldly happiness?
The Lord never promised rewards on earth, rather, he spoke of rewards in heaven.

A quote from Joel Osteen:
“I want to help you learn to forgive today, I want to help you have the right thoughts today.”

No man can help us forgive; it's by Christ we learn to forgive. How can any man help us with out our thoughts if he doesn't know our thought life?
It is a problem when some high-up preachers think they have the answers to all the problems or that they have some new way of preaching the gospel. It is preachers like Joel Osteen that lead people astray, giving them false hope, half the message, distorting the Word of God. He's trying to make it a new improved way of living. He never prepares you for the persecution that comes, wave after wave, getting stronger to the point all you have to lean on is God.
Unless you face persecution and begin to resent God, hating Christians feeling like they meant to humiliate you. When in truth, it was really that half message you received that didn't prepare you for the persecution as God promised.

On an interview with Larry King, Joel Osteen is asked about republican Mitt Romney's Mormonism, if he will go to heaven. Mr. Osteen states, he hasn't studied the bible enough to know little facts as that, but he believes in his heart that because Romney says he believes in Jesus Christ he will go to heaven. If Osteen took time to study his bible and not try to make up story's on how 'to be a better you' he would see that Mormon will not enter the Kingdom of God, for they have not repented of their sins and put their trust in Jesus Christ.

1 John 4:1 reads, “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

New Movie out today, Twilight.

A new movie is coming out today, Twilight. I am making this quick post to strongly advice people not to go and see it.

It is about vampires, immortal souls and it all is against God.
Too many people get sucked in to this stuff way to easy, I know.

Like I said it's just a quick note, DO NOT SEE IT!

'Christian' Books

Have you ever had to use discernment when reading a Christian book? I know I have! There is one thing I believe is a problem we have that even I admit to falling in. We are to quick to assume a lot of things are “Christian”. I believe there is no such a thing as “Christian books”.

Let me explain, think of what people do with 'Christian' stuff, they sell it! Who buys it, Christians! It's just another market, what would people say makes a Christian book Christian?

People might say, 'It talks about God or it talks about or mentions Jesus or salvation.' However, that does not make it Christian, it just means it talks about God, Jesus and salvation. Now take a look at the word, 'Christian'.

Last I recall Christian was a title for those whom believe Jesus is the Christ and follows what he taught. You can sit there and play football with your friend and still worship the Lord, does that make it 'Christian football' No, that's silly. Then why do we call books, music, even so much as food Christian.

That is why there are so much stuff labeled Christian that really have no means of Christ in them. Such as this book called, Havah,The story of Eve. It's by an author named Tosca Lee. Here is the description for this book:
What was it like to be the first woman on earth,

to wake to a brand-new creation-and Adam?

Why did she become so beguiled by the serpent?

In this lyrical retelling of the biblical narrative,

Lee brings Eden to life, revealing the dawn of

mankind from Eve's viewpoint! (Contains some mature imagery)

First, God tells us what we need to know about Eve in the Bible! Second, WHAT!!! (Contains some mature imagery) Do we really need that in a book, I mean come on. Third, If you go to Tosca Lee's site, you can read the first chapter, I read it. It depicted Adam to be such a child gooing (if that's a word) over Eve, kissing her, smelling, touching, tasting?

Lee wrote another book called Demon: A memoir. We NEED discernment when looking for books.

Another book series is the Dragons in our Midst series along with Oracles of Fire. By Bryan Davis. The whole series is about dragons. In the Bible it reads,

Revelation 13:2 The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.
The Lord calls Satan a 'dragon', that is the first problem.

Next, the first book is introducing Billy and Bonnie. Two kids who are half dragons, Bonnie knows because of her dragon wings she keeps hidden under a large backpack, Billy, who doesn't know, yet, he has fire breath.

Billy's father and Bonnie's mother were both dragons but some how transformed in to humans and married humans.

The 'Dragons in our Midst' is about Billy fulfilling a prophecy written all the way back in King Arthur's time. He is to be the dragons Christ. Yeah, Jesus came for the humans, but not dragons, so God has ANOTHER Christ to come. It's also very seeker-sensitive, God loves everyone, you need to know Gods love. Need I say more.

Oracles of Fire is where it gets worse. The first book is the prequel to DIOM. It talks about how dragons were just like humans and interacted with Noah. Not to mention the two sisters, Lilith, and Namaah. Namaah slept around and even with one of Noah's sons, pretending to be his wife. Lilith grows these things like plants that grow to be human like things. One God favors and gives her an 'oracle' orb where she can talk to Enoch (of the Bible). It just keeps getting worse. It focuses to much on Hell more than it talks about Christ. The next three books finish up this whole series. Again, use discernment when reading books just as much as you do with music and television.

I don't mean to say every book is bad. There are some good books out there, none of which should be named Christian. I'm just naming these two that I know are not good books for anyone and perhaps stumbling blocks. I will most likely later give some book ideas that are not so, seeker-sensitive or someones idea of what happened.
